Muse Museum

The original photo is from a museum in Linz (Austria). The floor was created with a photo from an apple. The paintings on the wall are airbrush illustrations I made a several years ago. I like to combine things, to create a new image that is sometimes simple, sometimes complex. This image won 1st prize for "Digital Imaging" in the Austrian Super Circuit 2002,

The title image, Silent Heights is the result of a trip. It was the second time in my life I traveled by airplane and I was impressed with the view over the clouds. I wanted to create an image with this view. Once the sky-landscape was created, I felt I should add the silent people with no expressions on their faces. The face/wall element was created seperately in photoshop and repeated, the face is from a dolls in a Belgian shop, which I transformed and retouched. The background is airbrushed. The only thing which is not photographed is the planet: it's the Flamingpear filter Lunarcell.

I was Born in 1945.

My interest in photography and illustration started in Highschool. Four years in Artschool (St. Lucas Brussels) was the next step, where photography was one of the sections. Illustration and photography became an obsession.
